1. Our Commitment to You
At Nitagni, every piece of 925 sterling silver jewellery is crafted with care and dispatched after a thorough quality inspection. We understand that you are making a considered investment in fine silver jewellery, and your trust in us is something we take very seriously.
This Return & Refund Policy has been designed to be fair and transparent, while also protecting the integrity of our products. Because we deal in high-value jewellery, we follow a structured return process to ensure every claim is handled with care and diligence — for your protection as well as ours.
Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. By completing a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Return Eligibility Window
We accept return requests within 7 days of the date of delivery. After this window has passed, we are unable to process returns, exchanges, or refunds — no exceptions.
⚠️ Return requests must be raised within 7 days of delivery. No returns will be accepted after this period.
To initiate a return, contact us at hello.nitagni@gmail.com or 8287453219 within the 7-day window, clearly stating your order ID, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for return.
3. Conditions for Return
Given the nature of our products — high-value 925 sterling silver jewellery — we require all of the following conditions to be strictly met for a return to be accepted.
3.1 The item must be:
- Completely unworn, unused, and in its original, unaltered condition.
- Free from scratches, dents, resizing, engraving, or any form of physical alteration.
- In its original Nitagni packaging, including the jewellery box, pouch, tags, and any authenticity cards or certificates.
- Accompanied by the original invoice / proof of purchase.
- Returned with all original accessories (e.g., extra links, clasps, cleaning cloth) if any were included.
3.2 The item must NOT have been:
- Worn, tried on (in the case of earrings and nose pins), or used in any way.
- Cleaned with chemicals, polished, or treated with any substance.
- Repaired, resized, or altered by any jeweller other than Nitagni.
- Exposed to perfume, cosmetics, sweat, water, or any substance that may affect the metal.
Nitagni's quality team will conduct a thorough inspection of every returned item before approving a refund or exchange.
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable, except in cases of manufacturing defect:
- Earrings and nose pins — for hygiene and safety reasons, these cannot be returned once delivered.
- Custom-made, personalised, or made-to-order jewellery — pieces crafted to your specific requirements or engraved with names, initials, or dates.
- Gift cards and vouchers.
- Items purchased during clearance sales, flash sales, or marked as 'Final Sale'.
- Items that have been resized, altered, or repaired after delivery.
5. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is damaged upon arrival, materially different from what was described, or incorrect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing hello.nitagni@gmail.com with:
- Your order ID and a description of the issue.
- Clear photographs of the item, the defect or damage, and the original packaging.
- A photograph of the shipping label on the package.
Failure to report within 48 hours may affect your eligibility for a claim. Upon verification, we will offer:
- A replacement of the same item, subject to availability, or
- A full refund to your original payment method, including any shipping charges paid.
✅ Nitagni bears the full cost of return shipping for defective, damaged, or incorrect items. You will not be charged.
6. How to Initiate a Return
- Step 1 — Contact Us: Email hello.nitagni@gmail.com or call 8287453219 within 7 days of delivery. Include your order ID, item name, and reason for return.
- Step 2 — Await Approval: Our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days. Do not ship the item until you have received written approval from us.
- Step 3 — Pack Carefully: Once approved, pack the item securely in its original packaging. Include the original invoice and a note with your order ID and reason for return.
- Step 4 — Ship the Item: Use a reliable, trackable courier service. We strongly recommend insuring the shipment for its full value. Nitagni will not be responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.
- Step 5 — Quality Inspection: Upon receipt, our team will inspect the item thoroughly. This process takes 2–3 business days. We will notify you of the outcome via email.
- Step 6 — Resolution: If approved, your refund or exchange will be processed. If the item does not pass inspection, it will be returned to you and no refund will be issued.
⚠️ Unauthorised returns (items shipped without prior written approval) will not be accepted and will be returned at the sender's cost.
7. Return Shipping Responsibility
- Returns due to buyer preference (change of mind, size issues, etc.): The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs and is strongly advised to use an insured, trackable courier.
- Returns due to defect, damage, or our error: Nitagni will bear the full return shipping cost and will arrange a courier pickup wherever possible.
Nitagni is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage that occurs during return transit when the shipment is arranged by the customer. We strongly recommend insuring the return shipment for its full purchase value.
8. Refund Process & Timeline
Once your returned item has been received and passes our quality inspection:
Refund Method: Original payment method (UPI, credit/debit card, bank transfer, etc.) Processing Time: 7–10 business days from the date of inspection approval Bank Credit Time: An additional 3–5 business days may be required depending on your bank
Please note:
- Shipping charges paid at the time of order are non-refundable, except where the return is due to our error.
- COD handling charges of ₹100 are non-refundable.
- Refunds will only be issued to the original payment source. We cannot process refunds to a different account or payment method.
- If your original payment was made via a gift card or store credit, the refund will be issued as store credit.
9. Exchanges
We offer exchanges for items of equal or higher value, subject to stock availability and the item passing our return inspection. If the exchange item is of higher value, the price difference must be paid before the replacement is dispatched.
Each item is eligible for exchange only once. Exchanged items cannot be returned or refunded thereafter, unless defective.
10. Fraud Prevention & Our Right to Refuse
Given the high value of our products, Nitagni takes return fraud very seriously. We reserve the right to:
- Refuse returns from customers with a history of excessive or suspected fraudulent return activity.
- Reject a return if the item received differs from the item originally dispatched.
- Report suspected fraud to the appropriate legal authorities.
All returned items are photographed, weighed, and inspected upon receipt. Any discrepancy between the returned item and the original dispatched item will result in immediate rejection of the return and may lead to legal action.
11. Consumer Rights Under Indian Law
These terms are in addition to, and do not limit, your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India). If you believe your statutory rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the appropriate consumer forum.
For any disputes not resolved through our internal process, both parties agree to seek resolution under the jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.
